In the fourth quarter of 2022, the carpooling and ridesharing app market on the Android platform in Norway showcased varied performance across the top five apps. Data from Sensor Tower provided insights into weekly downloads, active users, and revenue trends.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a steady number of weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.5K in late September and ending the year around 1.2K. Active users hovered around the 12K mark throughout the quarter, with slight fluctuations, peaking at 12.8K in mid-October and dipping to 11.5K in mid-December.

Uber - Request a ride exhibited a similar trend in weekly downloads, beginning at nearly 1K in late September and increasing to over 1K by the end of December. Active users for Uber remained relatively stable, with a slight upward trajectory, finishing the quarter at around 28K from a starting point of 26K.

Yango — different from a taxi experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 389 in late September and climbing to 628 by the end of December. Active users also saw a positive trend, rising from 977 in late September to 1.2K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively low weekly downloads, fluctuating between 61 and 118 throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 1.4K, with minor peaks and troughs.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had the lowest weekly downloads among the top five apps, ranging from 44 to 98. Despite this, active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 224 in late September and reaching 336 by mid-December.
